Publicising your fundraising activities

Remember to tell local media what you are doing to support the NDCS Hands up project. The media will almost certainly be interested in the activities you are involved in. They might even want to find out more about learning to sign along to We are Family by Sister Sledge or learning to sign the Girlguiding Promise.

Local press could even come and watch a performance or take a photo of the girls as they take part in a fundraising or arts and crafts activity.

The 38th Norwich Rainbow group enjoyed coverage in their local media when their girls visited NDCS's Listening Bus. Read article >

Publish a press release

The best way to make local press aware of your fundraising activities is to issue a basic press release. For help and advice on this, you’re encouraged to contact NDCS's press team.

Stop the press!

This website has also enjoyed some attention from the press after receiving a Best in Class Interactive Media Award.

Hi. It would be very helpful to have a press release template that could be adapted by groups to fit there fundraising activities. This would ensure the correct information on the NDCS Hands up is given out to the press and public.
