Download these stories about the lives of deaf children and young people to show the girls in your unit. You could, for example, stick them up onto your notice board.

Michaela is seven-years-old. She was born in Australia but her family moved to England when she was still a baby. Last year Michaela got a new cochlear implant. Read Michaela’s story.

Olivia is 12-years-old. She had hearing aids fitted when she was 18-months-old. Olivia loves acting and has been on the hit TV programme Shameless. Read Olivia’s story.
