Be deaf aware

There are 35,000 deaf children and young people in the UK and nearly 2,000 babies are born deaf every year. Deafness makes it harder to communicate and this can be very isolating.

Deaf children want to be able to do the same things as their hearing friends. They want to live in a world without barriers. You can help to make the world around you a deaf friendly place to live.

My unit always signs taps at the end of each meeting well, they do when I'm there. I was taught by Jill Hipson, and you can see it online at: httpguidinguk.freeservers.comBSLTaps2.html Doreen Pechey
