This was quite a hard project ot make interesting for the girls but was good to make them and us as leaders aware of this disability. We used several of your resources and culminated with a Loud Funky Night and encorporated other democratically chosen activities the children had picked themselves. They came dressed in loud funky clothes and were given photo IDs to show at each station as they couldnt tell anyoe their details as they couldnt hear the question. They went on an imaginery bus where they sang loudly before arriving at an imaginary beach where they had to make sand castles from paper cups in teams but werent allowed to speak as if deaf and couldnt hear. They had ice creams and went to a beach disco but ........without music ........to start with.
